We traveled from Ireland to purchase a Comb-Camp Flexi Comfort. Matthias was a pleasure to deal with and made the entire transaction very easy for us with excellent English. After 3 months of regular use we can safely say the trailer tent is fantastic. We are very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend MBS Caravan and Camping to anybody interested in purchasing a trailer tent.

Klare Empfehlung.

Do not buy anything from MBS Caravans, when you have genuine faults (which we have had a lot) with the tent, MBS as well as Combi Camp WILL NOT take reasonability for them and just blame them on you, DO NOT get yourself a 21,000 Euro problem like we have.

We made it very clear from the start that we would be living in the Combi Camp fulltime as this is our home whilst we travel round Spain and Portugal for the next few years, we were on the road for less than 2 months before we started to experience issues with the camp.

The first thing to go was one of the zips to the sleeping cabin, due to the tent always being under too much tension the zip teeth started to come away from the canvas, I approached Combi Camp directly about this and the response I got back from the managing director was "too expensive, not our problem, enjoy your holiday" as you can imagine I was quite taken back by this as Mattias had told us a few times how good Combi Camp were to deal with when issues arose, this was clearly not the case.
I then went to Mattias with this issues and to be fair to start with he did try to help, he offered advice on how to remove screws holding the canvas and pull it round to possibly help, unfortunately this did help.
MBS also offered to pay for us to take the tent to a local repair company and cover the cost, but this rang bells, and I thought as soon as we got work done on it somewhere other than Combi Camp I'm sure all warranty would of been voided.

The main issues is the whole roof section ( sleeping cabin, front tent and outside peak to the front tent ) all turned mouldy within 4 months of use, I would understand if we closed it up wet but the longest it was closed was about 6 hours between campsites and was always closed dry as we had the flexibility to only move when dry and this is Spain and Portugal we are talking about.
We were advised by MBS to get this type of material due to our use and he also mentioned that there were issues with the Eco Hemp one so stay clear of that one.

We have gone back to MBS caravans with all the issues that are apparently our fault and all he is offering, which we received in a letter from their lawyer to clean it at our cost. A minimum of 1000 Euros then we can sell it, so basically passing the issue onto someone else or if we keep it we will be back in the same situation in 4 months.

List of Issues

Mould throughout the whole roof.
Broken zip to sleeping cabin.
Canvas too tight to close sleeping cabin door.
Drawers construction not correct, one side too tight and hard to open other loose.
Tap seized up.
Tap spout falls off.
Magnet that holds on the kitchen front always comes out when opened and very difficult to put back in.
Jockey wheel slips and dumps trailer on floor.
Roof zips leak in heavy rain pouring into sleeping areas.

Other issues we found with tent.

The timber top to the trailer cracks by every rivet and soaks up water when wet.
Not being able to wipe it down to clean just spraying it with water doesn't clean it and look dirty the whole time.
Unless the ground if perfectly flat ( which we hardly ever found) you need multiple packers under the wheels and roof rack supporting the floor.
The tap is full blast or nothing so the small water tank requires refilling very often.
The advertising is very deceiving, If you get most of the add on's ( side and back tent for instance) and put bikes on you're left with hardly any weight allowance for luggage after you have put in the essentials like table and chairs, gas bottle and cooking utensils.

We met another couple with the same tent and they told us "You can't close the tent up in rain like it says in the manual without the storage area under the bed filling with water and the mattress getting wet" so if you're shifting to another camp good luck with your wet bed

I'm sure MBS will respond to this saying this isn't the case but I have emails and pictures to prove everything which I'm happy to share

I bought a rear tent with shipping, very good communication. Everything was taken care of very well and it fits great. Combi-camp is great, even after ten years you can buy something extra and everything fits together. Regards and I recommend.
